Before visiting the Museum…<\/span><\/h2>\n

Open Day for teachers and monitors of educational centres<\/strong><\/p>\n

7 October<\/strong> 2022 and 3 March<\/strong> 2023. At 16:00 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We propose this introductory visit to get to know the space and its activities.<\/p>\n

How to visit the Museum in person<\/span><\/h2>\n

School groups can choose between several options to get to know the Museum’s contents. Proposals may not be accumulated, and no more than one proposal may be made per school group and per day.<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Complete guided tour<\/h3>\n

The best way to get to know the Museum. One-hour visit to the permanent exhibition, adapted to the educational level of each group. A comprehensive tour in which you can get to know the way of life of the peasant communities, their daily activities, work, trades, technology, leisure…<\/p>\n

Free<\/strong> activity in Spanish<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

The stores of the peasant’s house: granaries, bread stores and huts<\/h3>\n

A 45-minute thematic<\/strong> guided tour for all audiences on traditional storage structures, based on the h\u00f3rreo, the panera and the cabazo of the Museum. At the end of the visit, students will be given a cut-out to build a granary with which they will be able to strengthen the knowledge acquired in the classroom.<\/p>\n

Free<\/strong> activity in Spanish (on request and depending on availability, it can be done in Eonavian).<\/p>\n

Water-powered mills: the flourmill<\/h3>\n

Thematic<\/strong> guided tour lasting 45 minutes for all educational levels. Students will learn how water is used as a driving force. We will stop at the Museum’s hydraulic flour mill, which you will be able to see in operation, and we will review the importance of bread for the farming community and all the processes involved in its production, from the sowing of the cereal to the final product.<\/p>\n

Wood and its uses: woodturning demonstrations<\/h3>\n

Themed visit + activity, lasting one hour, for all educational levels Students will learn to differentiate the main types of wood, what its uses were and the main trades that were generated around its manipulation and transformation. It includes an explanatory tour of the Rectory’s Wood Room, a participative game of wood identification and an explanatory demonstration of how the half-turn lathe works.<\/p>\n

Free activity in Spanish (on request and depending on availability, it can be done in Eonavian) available from Wednesday to Friday.<\/p>\n

Gymkhana<\/h3>\n

A different way of getting to know the Museum by overcoming various challenges that will require students to carry out a task or locate objects on display in the Museum.<\/p>\n

This free<\/strong> activity in Spanish is aimed at Primary Education and lasts 45-60 minutes. Available from March<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Customised activities<\/h3>\n

On request, we design personalised activities adapted to the subject matter and contents proposed by the centres.<\/p>\n
