At <strong>16:00 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We propose this introductory visit to get to know the space and its activities.<\/p>\n<p>How to take part: this activity is free of charge and requires booking in advance via the following link: <strong>JPA Booking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">How to visit the Museum in person<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>School groups can choose between several options to get to know the Museum&#8217;s contents. Proposals may not be accumulated, and no more than one proposal may be made per school group and per day.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Complete guided tour<\/h3>\n<p>The best way to get to know the Museum. One-hour visit to the permanent exhibition, adapted to the educational level of each group. A comprehensive tour in which you can get to know the way of life of the peasant communities, their daily activities, work, trades, technology, leisure&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free<\/strong> activity in Spanish<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>The stores of the peasant&#8217;s house: granaries, bread stores and huts<\/h3>\n<p>A 45-minute <strong>thematic<\/strong> guided tour for all audiences on traditional storage structures, based on the h\u00f3rreo, the panera and the cabazo of the Museum. At the end of the visit, students will be given a cut-out to build a granary with which they will be able to strengthen the knowledge acquired in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free<\/strong> activity in Spanish (on request and depending on availability, it can be done in Eonavian).<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Water-powered mills: the flourmill<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Thematic<\/strong> guided tour lasting 45 minutes for all educational levels. Students will learn how water is used as a driving force. We will stop at the Museum&#8217;s hydraulic flour mill, which you will be able to see in operation, and we will review the importance of bread for the farming community and all the processes involved in its production, from the sowing of the cereal to the final product.<\/p>\n<p>Free activity in Spanish (on request and depending on availability, it can be done in Eonavian).<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Wood and its uses: woodturning demonstrations<\/h3>\n<p>Themed visit + activity, lasting one hour, for all educational levels Students will learn to differentiate the main types of wood, what its uses were and the main trades that were generated around its manipulation and transformation. It includes an explanatory tour of the Rectory&#8217;s Wood Room, a participative game of wood identification and an explanatory demonstration of how the half-turn lathe works.<\/p>\n<p>Free activity in Spanish (on request and depending on availability, it can be done in Eonavian) available from Wednesday to Friday.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Gymkhana<\/h3>\n<p>A different way of getting to know the Museum by overcoming various challenges that will require students to carry out a task or locate objects on display in the Museum.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>free<\/strong> activity in Spanish is aimed at Primary Education and lasts 45-60 minutes. <em>Available from March<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Customised activities<\/h3>\n<p>On request, we design personalised activities adapted to the subject matter and contents proposed by the centres.<\/p>\n<h4>__________<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Important information:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 You will find all these proposals in detail in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.museodegrandas.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Guia-escolar-Grandas-2022-23.pdf\">Grandas School Guide 2022-23<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 In the case of face-to-face activities, the proposed alternatives are not cumulative, and no more than one per school group per day may be carried out.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Activities available from <strong>Wednesday to Friday<\/strong> mornings.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 On request, and whenever possible, other dates and\/or times adapted to the needs of the school could be agreed upon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bookings in advance<\/strong> must be made at least 48 hours in advance.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 If the school group exceeds the capacity of the selected visit or activity, please contact the Museum. Our staff will study the possible alternatives so that the whole group can take part in the activity<\/li>\n<li>Prior preparation in the classroom is advisable.<\/li>\n<li>A transport quote from your place of origin can be provided by us<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The Museum from the classroom<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Museum offers the possibility of working on its contents from the classroom in online collaboration with its technicians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Letters of Memory: Learning to research intangible heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through this proposal, pupils (5th and 6th year Primary and Secondary Education) will learn to recognise this heritage and will become Museum researchers, actively contributing to increasing our knowledge of the generations that preceded us. It is carried out in several phases: viewing in the classroom of the video &#8220;Memorias da nos terra. Jos\u00e9 Blanco \u00c1lvarez. Galocheiro, connection via Teams with the Museum technicians and conducting interviews, sharing in the classroom and connection via Teams to share the conclusions of the interviews.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Teaching materials<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Museum has two cut-out sheets that can be used to assemble a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.museodegrandas.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Recortable-horreo.pdf\">granary<\/a> or a <strong>country cart<\/strong>.
