The iron transformation process began in the <em>ferrer\u00edas<\/em>, where the iron ore was smelted and bars were obtained. These bars were handled in the mills, where they were stretched, thinned or widened in order to be worked and finally passed to the <em>ferreiro<\/em> workshop, the\u00a0<em>forxa<\/em>\u00a0(forge), where the tools and final products were made. <em>Mazo<\/em> is the name given to both the large mallet for beating iron and the mill that houses it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scale reproduction of a hydraulic mill from the Mazonovo mill, located in the nearby municipality of\u00a0Santalla d\u2019Ozcos.
